Frequently Asked Questions

Tour pricing

Our tours are competitively priced, in-fact all other all-inclusive Vegan tours to Thailand are priced higher than ours. The reason is simple, Vegan lifestyle and Thailand are my two biggest passions, and I am eager to share those with others. I personally lead each tour and have designed each meal, hotel, and destination on this tour based on my personal experience. Still, these tours are not cheap, and the reasons for that are several:

  • Our tours are all-inclusive, you are not likely to spend much outside of maybe gifts and souvenirs while in Thailand.

  • We selected top hotels in each town for our stays and have worked closely with those hotels to accommodate our special needs and lifestyle. Several of the hotels during our tour will actually be exclusively vegan.

  • In addition to myself and an English-speaking local guide, most tours will include a staff member that will be taking pictures and videos throughout the tour. We do that to allow you to fully relax and enjoy your time not having to worry about constantly documenting your experience. We take pictures and videos for you, edit and prepare them, and make them available and shareable for you during the tour and after.

  • A typical 10-, 12-, or 14-days tour takes many months of hard work to prepare for. No two groups are ever the same and my team and I make sure this is a truly memorable experience for you every single time.

  • We are a registered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and are fully licensed and insured.

Solo travelers, families

Our tours are priced based on double occupancy. Many of our participants choose to join solo and ask for a private room. We accommodate solo travelers with a small upcharge to cover the hotel rooms difference. We can also attempt to pair you with another solo traveler to share hotel rooms with you and avoid the upcharge, please let us know if that’s an interest.

We also welcome families with kids. Most hotel rooms will accommodate one extra bed, please ask for a family quote.

International flights, insurance, vaccination, visa, extended stays

You are responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from our start/end point. Most nationalities are exempt from Visa’s to Thailand and are granted 60 days upon arrival. There are some exceptions to that rule, we will discuss each case. We require all participants to purchase comprehensive medical insurance including repatriation. We encourage purchasing travel insurance as well to cover unexpected cancelations due to any reason and loss of luggage, but that’s entirely your choice. Most people arriving from North America or Europe do not need any special vaccination for a trip to Thailand, but please check with your physician prior to travel if anything is needed for your specific situation. We recommend arriving to Thailand 1-2 days prior to the tour start day to allow your body sufficient time to adjust to the time change and recover from the long travel. Regardless of when you arrive, we will be picking you up from the airport. Check-in time at our hotels is usually 2pm and our opening meeting will usually be around 4pm. Our tours end at the airport, usually in late afternoon or early evening hours. We are happy to assist with additional hotel stays if required and will offer our negotiated group rates which in most cases be better than online rates.

What to pack, weight restrictions, laundry

Our tours are very casual, feel free to pack light and prepare for hot temperatures most of the year. Our winter tours might see slightly lower temperatures, but for the most part its shorts and sandals throughout even at the nicer restaurants. Make sure to pack swimwear, we will be in hot springs, rivers, and waterfalls often, and all hotels have swimming pools. Laundry service will be available in all hotels, reasonably priced, and usually with one day turnaround. We encourage our guests to keep to one bag/suitcase each for comfort of transport. All domestic flights in Thailand include one checked bag limited to 20kg (44lb) and one carry-on bag limited to 7kg (15lb). You can of course carry more for an additional fee.

Currency, credit cards, SIM cards, WIFI

We encourage all participants to carry some local currency with them during the tour. We will be visiting local markets and street food opportunities that will only accept local cash currency. Exchange places in Thailand accept most international currencies and will exchange to Thai Baht. Credit cards are widely accepted in Thailand at hotels, restaurants and nicer shops. Make sure your Credit card for this trip doesn’t charge you international fees. ATM machines are available everywhere in Thailand and will usually accept your home country’s ATM cards. Expect a withdrawal fee of $6-7 per transaction on the Thai side on top of what your bank charges for international withdrawals.

For participants looking to have constant internet connectivity during the tour, we recommend bringing an unlocked cell phone that will accept an additional E-SIM, or a dedicated unlocked phone for the tour. Tourist E-SIM can be purchased at the airport upon arrival and is usually significantly less costly than roaming packages from your overseas carriers. WIFI is widely available in Thailand at hotels, restaurants and Cafes and will be free of charge.

Physical activity, age restrictions, medical and dietary restrictions

Our tours are relatively easy and are suitable for most people. We do have a few hikes and bicycle rides that might get a little challenging, those will be clearly communicated, and we will offer an opportunity to opt out, and will even offer some easier alternative activities. Heat and humidity can get hard for some people, especially those coming from colder countries. Keeping properly hydrated is curtail, and deferring back to the airconditioned van or hotel room is always an option. We welcome all ages and only ask for an open mind towards Vegan lifestyle and experiencing a new culture. Please discuss special medical conditions and dietary restrictions with us, we will make every effort possible to accommodate.
